Why Avalon?
Avalon Springs is creating the change we want to see in the world. We feel that the world is coming out of an era of over specialization, which led to focused development but “separation of the pieces” from the whole and un-sustainability. We feel that we need to, and are going into an era of integration where the pieces are brought back together to create the whole again in a sustainable way. Our focus is on integrating four key aspects of life – Spirituality, Community, Holistic Health and Ecological Technology.
Each of these aspects exists in different parts of the progressive culture. But we could not find very many examples where all four areas are integrated well in one place. We observed the “best of” many existing places, while identifying challenges and opportunities for growth. And we decided to integrate the isolated elements and take it to the next level and set out to create it. By Living, Learning, Sharing and Teaching.
