Events Calendar 2010
We invite you to come play with us and experience the joy that is Avalon Springs. Below is a list of events and activities for 2010.

On-going collaborator/volunteer events
Building Collaborator Weekends- Generally the third weekend of the month, these weekends are for volunteers who want to help restore and build the facilities of Avalon. Led by project manager, Chuck Johnson, participants will work together for about six hours a day. Participants camp on the land or stay in rustic cabins. All meals are provided, along with community activities. These weekends are free and donations are welcome. (Contact: building@avalonsprings.org) PRE-Registration is necessary. (Aug 21-22, Sept 18-19)
Garden Collaborator Weekends- Generally the second weekend of the month, and sometimes more often, these weekends are for experienced gardeners to assist in cultivating the Avalon organic gardens under the leadership of Bhakti Rinzler and other master gardeners. Schedule and details are similar to the Building Weekends. (Contact: garden@avalonsprings.org)
Sunday Fundays- Sunday Funday guests are invited to visit 10am-5pm on certain scheduled Sundays to come enjoy soaking, hiking, lunch, and learning all about the project. The donation minimum is $33. Pre-registration is required. You will receive an invite if you are on the Avalon email list. (Aug 22, Sept 19)


Healing Waters Colloquium DATE CHANGE - Oct 10-14
Water scientists, innovators, and other water experts from many disciplines will converge at Avalon Springs for deep conversation and innovation in the area of healing the waters so that they might heal all of us.
Bioneers' Presenters Networking Spa Days, October 18-19
Continuing the tradition from last year, Avalon invites presenters and leaders of the Bioneers Conference for cultural innovation to join us for a day, and overnight, of relaxed networking and connecting at the hot springs.
Biodynamic Permaculture, DATES TBA
Led by Avalon's on-site Permaculturist and Biodynamic practitioner, Patrick Garretson, this two day introductory workshop is the first of its kind, fusing two of the most successful and proven methods of organic, sustainable agriculture. Topics covered include a synthesis of the basic principles of Permaculture and Biodynamics, wholistic water treatment, biomimicry in the garden and site design, and the human being as an integral element in ecology.
