Master Plan

Our Permaculture Master Plan is Complete!

Master Plan Overview Picture
For two years now, we’ve been marveling at the complexity and far-sightedness of the Avalon Springs vision. Frankly, it’s been very hard to explain to people. Integrating spirituality and business, re-creating the Garden of Eden with permaculture organic gardens and food forests, re-conceiving the structures of community for inter-dependence instead of fenced separation, and opening spirituality to include the day-to-day connectedness of all things… well, this project works on a lot of levels at once, and in a lot of creative and pioneering ways.

It took the masterful team of Exos Design, an International Environmental Design Group to help us gather, organize, plot, and present this complex vision to the world. Helped by a world class Design Team of architects, environmental engineers, landscape architects, archaeologists, ecological wilderness experts and dozens of support people. The result is two beautiful full-color Master Plan documents totaling 200 pages of plans, descriptions, plant species lists, conceptual drawings, ecological zone schematics, and 3D presentations of the land, the water, the food, the ecovillage, the retreat center, and the temple complex.

These Master Planning documents are so well organized, that one can step through the project and see how each component interrelates with the others, and how each phase of the project lines up to prepare for the next. With another several hundred pages of appendices data, we can quite confidently say that we’ve got a plan. A big plan.
