An educational center for holistic sustainable living...

Avalon Springs is redeveloping an historic hot springs resort, located North of Napa County, California, to be a center for experiential learning in all areas of sustainable living: ecology/permaculture, organic farming, holistic health, conscious relating, and sustainable business.

Permitted, approved plans for all 318 acres include conference center, hot springs retreat, educational complex, healing center, permaculture food forest and farms, and a 30-home ecovillage, all just 2 hours from the Bay Area and Sacramento.

Quiet on the Land - Winter Arrives at Avalon (December 2009)

This photo is from last winter, but our first tiny flurry of snow arrived already on December 6, 2009 this year! Since the old resort is not well-insulated, we are snuggling in for a quiet winter season at Avalon Springs. Expect more onsite events in the Spring 2010. Meanwhile, we are continuing with fundraising and plan-making for our anticipated continuation of build-out once the warm weather hits. When Avalon has cozy strawbale classrooms and guesthouses, we will be inviting you to join us for educational activities at the springs even in the snows of Winter!
